This is the moment a motorist on an empty residential street had an unbelievable success in hitting a parked car and flipping his own vehicle onto its side in a spectacular accident captured on CCTV.

Owner Rishi Rao, who was looking out of his front window, was surprised to see the driver inexplicably rammed into his parked VW Golf – which was later declared deregistered – which sent it into a spin.

The brown Skoda Octavia was then thrown sideways in the dramatic crash, trapping its uninjured driver inside – with rescuers taking an hour to free him.

Rishi, 42, told MailOnline: ‘I had just gotten out of the shower and was next to the window. I pretty much saw it when the car pulled out of my room.

“I had this car for 15 years and it was part of my identity. It felt very unreal. It all happened so fast.

“And then seeing the other car roll over and a lot of people outside the house. It took a long time to clean everything.

The video was taken by his neighbour, who captured Rishi’s car being hit by the rogue driver, in Wembley, west London.

The front-drive Skoda’s left front tire continued to find traction as it rolled over its car, flipping the eight-year-old diesel sedan on its side.

He hit the black 2005 VW Golf just above its left front wheel, scraping its side as it came back down to earth.

Rishi’s car was hijacked on the way, breaking the axle.

The cost of repairing the damage to Rishi’s car exceeded the value of the vehicle and it was written off.

Fire, police, rescue service and ambulance rushed to the scene, and it took an hour for the driver to be rescued from the wreckage through the rear passenger window.

Firefighters arrived first, tackling a potential oil connection.

Rishi, a recruiting manager and app developer, gave the driver some water, who was unhurt except for his wrist.

Its road is used as a shortcut from the A40 to the A406.

A cordon was put up in front of his house for four hours and causing huge traffic jams until it reopened at 9 p.m.
