Former France international Adel Rami Emiliano Martinez stormed out after Argentina beat France in the World Cup final on Sunday.

The Aston Villa goalkeeper did not win over many fans in France after his actions during the penalty shootout, which Argentina won, as well as his taunting of hero Kylian Mbappe in the aftermath of the match.

On his Instagram Stories, he posted a photo of Martinez along, which according to Get France Football reads: “The eldest son of a (b****) in football. Most hated man.

The defender, who plays for Troyes, continues to feel that Moroccan Yassine Bounou should have won the Golden Glove award. The Atlas Lions man conceded three fewer goals during the tournament.

He also added that Mbappe “shocked” Argentina so much that they celebrate their victory over the 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain star “more” than winning the World Cup.

Martínez’s actions in the penalty shootout helped Argentina succeed as he saved a penalty from Kingsley Coman and saw Aurelien Tchoameni’s shot wide.

The Villa keeper threw the ball away from Tchoamene before the young Real Madrid player slotted home a penalty – playing mind games with the midfielder.

After winning a Golden Glove, he was filmed making a rude gesture with the gong as he held it on his private parts.

Martinez has since explained that he did it because the French fans were booing him during Argentina’s thrilling victory in the final.

The Aston Villa goalkeeper brutally mocked Mbappe during Argentina’s dressing room celebrations by calling for a minute’s silence for the French forward.

It came despite the 30-year-old being seen as one of the first people to take on Mbappe after France’s bruising defeat.

Martinez continued to mock Mbappe on his birthday by carrying a small doll with the face of the French star during Argentina’s World Cup march around Buenos Aires yesterday.

To make matters worse, Martinez held aloft an effigy of Mbappe as he stood next to his PSG teammate, 24-year-old Lionel Messi, as the duo celebrated Argentina’s penalty shootout victory over France.

Argentina’s players, including Golden Glove winner Martinez, spent the day parading the World Cup around the capital before it was abandoned due to security issues, with fans filmed jumping on the bus.
