Gary Lucy wants Laura Anderson’s girlfriend to move to Essex and meet his four children – and admits the couple are already talking about marriage and babies.
The former Hollyoaks actor, 41, who met Laura, 33, filming the E4 series Celebs Go Dating, says he’s keen for the Love Island star to move in and get his mum’s approval, as he hopes to introduce her to his immediate family.
In a new interview, Gary predicts that his four kids will get along with Laura because she’s a girl-girl and tomboy — and admits the TV personality has consummated it four years after he split from wife Natasha Gray.
‘She’s an Essex girl at heart’: Gary Lucy wants girlfriend Laura Anderson to move to Essex and meet his four children – and admits couple are already talking about marriage and babies
He said, “Well, everyone on the show is constantly talking about weddings and kids and all that… It’s beautiful. I mean, that could go on for a really long time. I’m enjoying every bit.”
I want to take her back to my dinner, and grill dinner with my mom, because her approval is important, and then she calmed down. I want to take her to Essex with me. I think she is an Essex girl at heart.
The Footballers’ Ex-Wives star, who was married to Natasha for four years between 2014 and 2018, joined dating agency E4 to find love again, but fellow celebrity star Laura quickly caught his eye.
Now that the couple is officially together, Gary says it won’t be long until he introduces Laura to his four children.
He added, “I know they’re going to get on with it because it’s fun…she’s cool. She’s a girly girl and a tomboy rolled into one at different times.”
New romance: The former Hollyoaks actor, who met Laura filming the E4 series Celebs Go Dating, says he’s keen for the Love Island star to move on and get his mum’s approval
Gary insists the couple have a real relationship and their spark was first realized after the celebrity contestants took part in a master class where they were asked about their favorite sexual positions – and he and Laura shared many of the same answers.
He said: ‘Laura ticks all the boxes I had when I got into the dealership, she’s attractive, she’s family-oriented. Someone that’s fun, bubbly, has a spark, and her life together.
We were sent to a master class, and I was paired with Laura. It was an honesty master class where they asked us questions like, “What’s your favorite sexual position?” And we were pretty much in sync on most if not all things.
After the breakdown of his marriage, Gary admits that he spent years rebuilding his life but the one thing missing was a meaningful relationship.
Co-stars: Gary and Laura met up to star in the latest series of Celebs Go Dating, which also featured Pete Wicks and 2021 Love Island winner Liam Reardon
Romantic: Gary admits that after spending years fixing his life after the end of his four-year marriage, he has consummated his encounter with Laura, referring to her as the missing piece of the puzzle.
The TV actor became known as a womanizer in his prime when he starred in Hollyoaks and Footballers’ Wives, describing himself as a “wild boy with nonstop women.”
He admits that he’s settling down quickly with his ex-wife, who has become the mother of his children, and says he “didn’t do dating” — so he went from one extreme to the other in a short while.
He explained: ‘I’ve spent the last four years putting myself back together and there was one piece missing and I think I’ve found the final piece of the puzzle, which is Laura.
Back in the day, when I was on Soccer Players’ Wives, I was a wild boy, unstoppable woman.
Exes: Gary says he and Laura have also been able to connect over their complicated dating history, as the former air hostess announced the end of her five-year relationship with Dane Bowers in August.
You jumped straight into a relationship. I was like, “Right, I want to have someone I can have nice life experiences with.” The first one I bumped into became the mother of my children.
I didn’t do the dating thing, I didn’t. It didn’t happen the first time, before, when I was on TV, which was 16, and then in between or so it was just a nightclub hookup.
Gary says he and Laura were also able to connect with their complicated dating history.
Former air hostess Laura found fame on Love Island in 2018 teaming up with model Paul Knops, but their romance quickly fizzled out once the series ended.
Since then, she has had flops in her relationships with Alex Marks from The Bachelor UK as well as Love Island 2015 winner Max Morley and fellow singer Dane Bowers.
Laura announced that she and Dane had separated in August after five years together, and she was returning to the UK from Dubai, where they shared a home.
Gary said: “She had a hard time too, from what I hear.
So it’s great to be on a similar kind of page where we’re both a little bit injured and kind of ready for something new. I want to take care of her and she wants to take care of me, which I love.
