Lily Allen advocates for “kids’ hunger” for “stability and love” as they grow up

Lily Allen clapped back at the recent criticism of the new babies in a series of tweets, claiming that the celebrities’ babies are “hungry” for “settlement.”

In the wake of Monday’s New York magazine “Year of the Nebo Baby” cover story, the singer wrote on Twitter that naysayers “should worry about” new babies working in the legal, political, and financial arenas.

“We talk about real-world consequences and robbing people of opportunity. But it’s none of my business,” added the singer, 37.

“And before you come at me for being a bratty kid myself, I’ll be the first to tell you that I literally deserve nothing.”

The Grammy nominee explained in a separate tweet, “I’m a nerdy kid, and both of my parents are [actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen] They are very talented.”

The entertainment industry isn’t “parent-friendly,” the former “Lily Allen and Friends” host continued writing.

She told her followers: “In childhood, we crave stability, love and care.” “We don’t care about money or proximity to power yet. Many newborns starve of these childhood staples because their parents are probably narcissistic.”

Lily, who has worked on many of her parents’ projects over the years but currently has a strained relationship with her father, concluded, “It can be hard to see one’s privilege when you’re still processing childhood trauma.

“A lot of these kids haven’t figured that out yet.”

Several Twitter users criticized her remarks, with one accusing Lilly of “recycling the ‘I don’t have white privilege’ argument, my life was hard.”

Another noted, “This also happens to poor children, and it’s even worse for them because they have neither money nor financial stability. What’s your point?”

Lily wasn’t directly mentioned in the viral article, which included Dakota Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Ben Platt, Zoe Kravitz, and more stars who haven’t touched her yet.

But last month, Depp spoke to Elle about the “weird” Nebo baby poster.

“If somebody’s dad was a doctor, and then the kid became a doctor, you wouldn’t be like, ‘Well, you’re a doctor just because your dad is a doctor,'” Johnny Depp’s 23-year-old daughter told the outlet in November. No, I went to medical school and trained.”

As for Kravitz, the Big Little Lies, 34, called it “completely normal” for kids to follow in their parents’ footsteps in an interview with GQ the same month.

“It’s literally where the last names come from,” explained the actress, who was raised by Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz. “I would mourn if your family was like the black family.”
