Man United refuse to be chased by Wolverhampton and two other Premier League clubs, while Ten Hag looks to replace

According to reports, Wolves are in the running to score for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 25-year-old, who signed for United for £50m in 2019, has made just one four-minute appearance under Erik ten Hag this season.

Head coach Julen Lopetegui’s side will reportedly face former Wan-Bissaka club Crystal Palace, along with Fulham, for his signature, with the England player free to leave Old Trafford in January.

Wan-Bissaka quickly fell out of favor with Ten Hag after making just one substitute appearance this season against Liverpool in the FA Cup. It is clearly in excess of requirements.

It is believed United would be open to a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer to take Wan-Bissaka off the books.

The former Crystal Palace Player of the Year has a contract that runs until 2024, while United have another year option in the deal.

Wan-Bissaka was big news when he arrived at Old Trafford, close to an England call-up and one of the fastest players in the Premier League.

However, over the past 18 months, Diego Dalot has gradually earned his place ahead of Wan-Bissaka.

Ten Hag has clearly made up his mind on the England player as he was transfer-listed on November 27, according to the club. Team talk.

A Wan-Bissaka move would make sense for Wolves, given that their current right-back Nelson Semedo has struggled to find form this season.

Overall, Lopetegui’s side are in dire need of defensive reinforcements after losing nine of their opening 15 matches, leaving them bottom of the Premier League table.

Wan-Bissaka could definitely be a more solid option for Semedo, if he can get back to playing at his best.

United are in the market for a new right-back in January

As for Manchester United while They are currently looking for reinforcements in the attackIt is widely known that they also want to sign a new right-back.

Indeed, Fabrizio Romano recently detailed Ten Hag’s plan for mini-reforms in office.

He said, “Manchester United has internally decided to extend Diogo Dalot’s contract,

To negotiate a new long term contract and make an offer.

“The second step: sell Wan-Bissaka and the third step is to sign a new right-back.”

According to the MirrorUnited have a three-man shortlist to replace the Englishman.

The first of them is the prospective Malo Justo in Lyon, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham, after his brilliance in the French League in the past two seasons.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremy Frimpong has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford since last summer, so he may be favored to sign in January.

Although Leverkusen manager Simon Rolfes remains unfazed by the links.

He said: “We are very comfortable with Jeremy. It would be fatal if he didn’t draw attention to himself from the big clubs with these performances.”

“He is very clear in his way of playing and he is a very important player for us. I told him he will continue to play at his quality.”

The last option on the shortlist is Denzel Dumfries, who joined Inter Milan at the start of the season.

The Dutchman was in great form at the San Siro and did great at the World Cup as well.

However, Inter took the position that it would require a huge bid to force the sale in January.

So while United look almost certain to sign the right-back in the next window, they may need to look further away from the top three favourites.
