New on Netflix: Streaming new movies and shows the week of December 19
There are three big Netflix releases awaiting this week, and it looks like there’s at least one big gift everyone is unlocking. Arguably the biggest item of them all is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which is a modern noir sequel to Rian Johnson.
This chapter sees the return of Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) to solve a new murder, except this time tech tycoon Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites everyone into his murder mystery – as a joke. We won’t spoil how things go wrong next, but it’s safe to say: Mr. Blanc has a new mystery (or two) to solve.
Before that, Emily in Paris Season 3 arrives, and finds the titular hero trying to do two jobs at once. In a Fred Flintstone-like move, Emily is still working at Savoir for Madeline, and lets Sylvie believe she has left the outlet for her new company.
Then, on Christmas Day, Netflix’s newest Witcher show – The Witcher: Blood Origin – drops. It’s the story of how we got our first-ever Witcher, and Michelle Yeoh emerged as the badass swordsman.
So, let’s get down to a daily breakdown of what’s new on Netflix this week!
