Oti Mabuse hailed Guetta Przystal as “the best dancer” after she made history as the first strict professional to win in their first year.

On Saturday night, the 28-year-old Polish native took home the Glitterball trophy with her famous dance partner Hamza Yasin after facing stiff competition from fellow contestants Fleur East, Helen Skelton and Molly Rainsford.

Former Strictly Come Dancing pro and two-time winner Ottie Mabuse celebrated Jowita’s win, admitting she “couldn’t stop crying” and sending the newbie a “girl power” message.

Hamza and Guetta’s win comes despite the duo landing at the bottom of the leaderboard, no thanks to Showdance which Craig Revell-Horwood had previously described as “disappointing”.

Speaking after his victory, an emotional Hamza said: “Words cannot describe how I feel. I want to thank one person in particular – Jowita, you are an angel in disguise as a human being. That is what you are, you are amazing.”
