Singer Rebecca Ferguson married her partner, Johnny Hughes.

The former X Factor contestant, 39, and soulful singer-songwriter announced the happy news on Instagram Sunday night, sharing a photo from the wedding that was posted to HELLO!

Ferguson, a pageant finalist in 2010 who is the mother of Lily, 18, Carl, 16, and eight-year-old Arabella, gushed on Instagram “And just like that, I went on to live happily ever after!” Surprise!’

Rebecca’s post was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from her celebrity friends, with Danielle Lloyd penning the song “Congratulations darling” while X Factor star Katie Weisel sharing the lyrics “Muzeltov you two are an amazing couple and wonderful to both of you”.

The singer confirmed their engagement on New Year’s Day as she posted a series of snaps with Johnny.

“I am so happy” to announce that I am engaged to the love of my life, she wrote in a caption to the post. Dreams can come true!’

Rebecca later tweeted: “Life is finally good for me, I’m so grateful I’ve been through so much, I’m so happy I found love and I’m excited for the next chapter!”

Ferguson recently gave a heartbreaking account of the ‘abuse’ she suffered in the music industry, claiming her life became hell after she fell out with two high-profile personalities.

The singer claimed her life was under control as she was treated and put to bed at night, told who she could date and spend time with.

Pop star Ferguson said she became unwell at one point, breaking down repeatedly and being told to pretend to be well so she could fly home after going abroad for professional duties, and was told she would continue working on the phone from her bed. I tried to recover.
