“Next year will be my sixty-fifth year.”

Sir Cliff attributes a certain regimen of special diets to his diet and says he deprives himself of the things he loves to keep fit.

“It’s not really a diet,” Sir Cliff explained: “I eat well these days, but I only eat what I’m supposed to eat.”

“I have to give up some of the things I loved before,” he said, “but there are so many vegetables and different things I can eat, and that’s what I do.”

The latest comes after frustrated Cliff fans accused him of mining during a party performance during an episode of This Morning earlier this month.

He made sure to communicate his latest album, as well as the upcoming Blue Sapphire tour, which begins this November, while chatting with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

But when he headed to the mic to sing his latest piece, A Christmas Heart, he left viewers scratching their heads.

‘Cliff is mimicking #ThisMorning,’ one wrote, with another adding, ‘Lip-syncing on @thismorning!!! Thought Sir Cliff you were better than that!!! #ThisMorning.’

A third penned, “Cliff is c**p in the tradition. #ThisMorning,” while a fourth chimed in with, “A microphone off his waist but Cliff Richards’ vocals still going?” XMAS MAGIC? MustafaHosny Oh God, Amen.

Before the intimate gig, he told Holly and Phil about his series of shows at London’s Eventim Apollo: ‘I only do about eight shows I think, my days of going on tour for six months are behind me.

“It’s so terrifying to be on tour for so long because you never know what day you’re going to wake up and that’s it [voice] Will not work.

We’ve all known artists who have retired, they’ve made four or five comebacks.

“And every time I hear someone come back, I think, ‘We ran out of money,’ so I don’t want anyone to say that about me.

“So I figured if I stopped, that means I could take a few years off and then call my management and say what about Albert Hall for two weeks.”

Christmas With Cliff marks the legend’s first dedicated Christmas album in 19 years and will be released in chart-eligible magazine format, for the first time in his eight-decade career.

Featuring the full 13-track CD, a 20-page magazine dedicated to the album and Cliff’s Love of Christmas, this unique chart-eligible format puts albums back on supermarket shelves for the first time since they phased out CD from July 2021.
