A BBC media outlet told The Sun on Sunday: “Bosses want to make her the new ‘Golden Girl’ on the channel.

She is lined up for guest slots on The One Show and Morning Live on the BBC.

“Another option is her own show, which is a very outdoorsy action sequence,” the source added.

It has also been previously reported that Helen and Hamza are on the way to striking six-figure presenting deals to keep them at the BBC.

The broadcaster is said to be willing to “splash money” in an attempt to prevent rival channels snapping up the pair, who have been “sponsored” by the BBC.

A source told The Sun: ‘Helen is a good fit for Hamza at the BBC and the executives are delighted with how the show has boosted their profiles.

They wanted some sexy stars to appear in Strictly this year which is a ‘full’ show for the first time since it was curtailed by Covid two years ago.

Viewers seem to have thrown their support behind Helen and Hamza in a way few finalists have ever enjoyed. Beeb is keen to build on that and ensure they stay with the BBC, which is where they’ve developed their careers to date.

The source added that the duo is “highly valued” even though their careers are at “different stages”, with Helen being a well-known broadcaster while Hamza is relatively unknown “at this point”.

And in a clip released before the show on Saturday, Helen went on to thank her dance partner for the huge impact he’s had on her.

During a break from rehearsals, Gorka told her, “I’m so proud of you because I think you’ve grown so much, you’ll leave this show a much happier person.”

As she struggled to fight back the tears, she sobbed, “You trust me I didn’t have.”

The two then shared an emotional hug as they reflected on the amazing journey they had together.

Despite giving it their all on the dance floor, the show was eventually won by Hamza Yasin and Guetta Przystal.

Speaking before the stern final, Helen said: “Everyone has confidence in different ways.

I was talking to Claudia [Winkleman] About it one day and not everyone can stroll down Main Street in high heels and a dress, but maybe you’re confident talking about politics or writing books or anything but yeah, you’ve found confidence.

“Gurkha is smart because he never made it sexy, it was about sass and power and control and that’s great for anyone when they feel in control of themselves and what they do.

I don’t think it’s about being sexy, I think it’s about being confident in your own skin and being yourself.

The thing Gorka kept saying to me at first that I didn’t get was ‘just own it’, I was like ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m here’ – I was like ‘what does that even mean?’ But now I understand.

“It’s been great to be happy in my skin, in my shoes, and doing whatever walks I do.”
